The New England Chapter Technologist Section has a vibrant history. Beginning in the mid 1960s the Chapter started as a "book club" creating an opportunity for area technologist to get together a exchange ideas.
​Grassroots meetings were held, bylaws were created, and an executive committee was formed. The rest is history.....

The Chapter depends on the voluntary services of members, as elected officers and appointees, to achieve this mission in a fiscally responsible manner.

The primary mission of the Society of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging New England Chapter Technologists Section (SNMMI-NECTS) is to provide continuing education opportunities for the technologists in the New England area. The Chapter will act as liaison to the National Society of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging Technologists Section, to facilitate communication and promote the profession of Nuclear Medicine Technology. The Chapter depends on the voluntary services of members, as elected officers and appointees, to achieve the mission in a fiscally responsible manner.​
